BLOGGING BUDS...
I am really sorry for being totally MIA on my blog recently... This week has been a little crazy and I'm about to take the Buddha man out for a walk because it's fresh and crisp outside and, well, frankly, we BOTH need a long and energizing walk. I woke up with lots of Energy but wanted to take a break from step today, since both saturday and sunday I have it on my agenda! We're going to do a 5 mile loop (I think) called the "Forbidden Trail" at the Wissahickon area of Fairmount Park. I havn't been there in a WHILE (years!), but I thought of it this morning and since I'm done classes for the day, I felt like it was perfect and definitely in order!
Again, guys, I'm SO sorry for being the negligent blogger, but I've still tried to support and comment on your blogs (which I adore). OY, I'll totally explain everything when I get back...If I don't go now, I don't know if I will go at all!
XO

I'm not sure if I've posted before but ooooooh you live in philly?!?! awesome! so does my bf! I am on my way to the airport to go there in an hour!
Anyway, he lives right near Fairmount so we do all of our runs there... so so pretty even in this weather! I love it!
Have a great weekend!
oooo i love that trail!!! enjoy it :) i haven't been there in a while either... i definitely need to make time to go there this summer!
Have fun on your walk! It's a gorgeous day here as well, I wish I wasn't cooped up in my office, I'd be out there walking too.
Luckily, it's about an hour from 'quitting time' for the week. Wahoo!
I hope you enjoyed your walk! It's too late for me to go outside now :(
And we'll forgive you as long as you come back to blogging sooN!
I love you girls :) Thanks for understanding! Tomorrow you'll hear ALL ABOUT my adventures today with the Buddha man.
AND MISS ASHLEY! GOOD LUCK TOMORROW :) We know you're gonna do great!
ooh thanks for the tip on the bsprouts! what temp and for how long do you roast them!? i heard it is diasterous if they are overcooked!
Indeed it is! Almost everything is disasterous when overcooked though, right? I roast my b-sprouters at 400 degrees F, for about 10-15 minutes, and then I give the pan a good shake/get them all turned over. I find that this way they ALL end up caramelized and cooked through! After turning them I cook them for another 5-10, check on them again and since I like mine with lots of caramelized goodness, sometimes I'll roast for 5 more. It usually takes about 30-35 mins. I also take off all of the outside leaves so that there are only pale leaves showing and cut them in half and sometimes in quarters, depending on how big they are. You want them to generally be the same size!
ANOTHER TIP: I looove eating them cold, but find that if you let them sit overnight/two nights in the fridge they are even BETTER! And they're DIVINE if you put them in b-nut squash or sweet potato soup (boxed kind).
ENJOY :)
Letting them sit AFTER they've cooked, of course, and cutting them PRIOR to cooking. Just wanted to clarify! :)
Forbidden trail? sounds interesting. I bet reverse psychology was used to name it that. Its working on me.
I'm excited for your next post. By the way, where do you go to school? I lived right outside of Philly for like 6 years, and went to college there my first year.
I live at home (Abington area) but go to school downtown! Where did you live when you lived here?! That's so awesome...ahem...you should come visit soon!!
And I may not get this post out tonight...still working on it and it's so crazy here at home---A lot of distractions making me feel like the world is on my shoulders ugh. I'll do my very best though :-\
no worries, girl!! just blog when you can :0)
Hahah!
So I went and picked up Intuitive Eating yesterday!
I have tried to convince myself of this stuff before, eating till youre full and not overstuffing yourself because everything you want will be available when you want it!
Its just such a hard concept when you have eating problems. Also when you hate your body :/
Anyway, thanks so much for recommending it! I freakin love you! <3
I went to Bryn Mawr. It was a nice place and all, but definitely not the right school for me. But I loved being so close to Philly!
No, I actually never got to Govindas... I didn't even know it existed until after I moved-- boo! I did go to Gianna's quite a few times, and I loved Whole Foods on South Street!
If you go to Govindas, let me know how it is!
LOL it truly is our bible!
I think you're due for another post.... :)
Thank you! I am glad you like it! I read through your blog as well--it is great! I really love your approach as well. When will you start blogging again? :)
Hey! Aw that's so great THANKS! I just did a BIG post iniating my comeback! Unfortunately, I didn't even get to my food pics/grocery trip yet. GRRR, blogger!
